Wealth — Privacy Policy

Policy Version 1.0 — Effective August 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Tikuno Media LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with the Wealth desktop application (the "Software") and the website at investorupdate.com (the "Site"). It is incorporated into, and should be read together with, the End User License Agreement and Terms of Use.

The Short Version

Your portfolio never leaves your computer. Wealth is a local desktop application. Your holdings, balances, transactions, entities, documents, and account details are stored in an encrypted database file on your own machine. We do not have a copy. We cannot see your net worth. We could not produce your financial data if we were asked for it, because we never receive it.

Three narrow exceptions exist, each of which happens only because you asked for a feature that requires it, and each is described in detail below: price lookups send ticker symbols outward, document parsing and chat send the content you select to an AI provider, and optional error reporting sends crash details. None of these send us your portfolio.

1. Information We Actually Receive

(a) Your email address, if you download the Software from our Site. To download Wealth you provide an email address and accept the Terms. We store that email address together with the date and time, your IP address, and the version of the Terms you accepted. We use it to (i) keep a record that you accepted the Terms, and (ii) notify you about updates, fixes, and security issues relating to the Software. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with advertisers. You may unsubscribe or request deletion at any time by emailing legal@investorupdate.com.

(b) Optional error reports. If you opt in within the Software, we may receive anonymous diagnostic reports containing error messages, the application version, and your operating system. These reports never contain financial data, account numbers, balances, holdings, names of entities, or document contents. This is off unless you turn it on, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings.

(c) Ordinary web server logs for the Site. Our web host records standard request logs (IP address, user agent, page requested, timestamp) for security and troubleshooting.

(d) Anything you voluntarily send us. If you email us for support or submit feedback through the Software, we receive whatever you choose to include. Please do not send us account numbers or statements.

That is the complete list of what reaches us.

2. Information That Stays on Your Computer

Everything else. Specifically: your entities, holdings, positions, quantities, cost bases, balances, transactions, valuations, liabilities, imported documents, notes, portal session cookies, and application settings.

This information is stored in a local database file in your user data directory. The database is encrypted at rest, using a key held in your operating system's own secure credential storage (Keychain on macOS, DPAPI-backed storage on Windows). It is readable only from your user account on your machine.

We have no server-side account system, no cloud sync, and no backup of your data. This means we also cannot recover your data if you lose it — see Section 4 of the Terms regarding your responsibility to keep backups.

3. When Data Leaves Your Computer — and Exactly What Goes

(a) Market price lookups. When prices refresh, the Software sends ticker symbols only to Yahoo Finance and/or Financial Modeling Prep, and cryptocurrency asset identifiers only to CoinGecko. Quantities, dollar amounts, account names, and entity names are never transmitted. Those providers see a request for a symbol's price; they do not see how much of it you own.

(b) AI document parsing. When you explicitly import a document for extraction, the contents of that document are transmitted to Google's Gemini API for processing, in some cases by way of an access-token service we operate at investorupdate.com. Our token service issues a credential only — the document itself goes directly to Google and does not pass through our servers, and we do not receive, log, or store its contents. This happens only for documents you choose to import.

(c) AI chat and generated commentary. When you use the portfolio chat or a feature that produces written commentary, a summary of the selected entity's holdings — names, values, and categories — is transmitted to Google's Gemini API to answer your question. This happens only when you use those features.

(d) Property valuation lookups. If you use property valuation or address features, the Software may send a property address to Redfin, Zillow, or the Google Places API to retrieve an estimate or normalize the address.

(e) Financial institution portals. When you open a portal (for example Schwab, Fidelity, Carta, or Robinhood), the Software opens that institution's own website inside an embedded browser. You sign in directly with that institution. Your username, password, and multi-factor codes go to them and are never transmitted to us or stored by us. Session cookies remain on your machine.

(f) Update checks. The Software periodically requests a small version file from investorupdate.com to tell you when a newer release exists. This request contains no personal or financial information.

Data sent to a third party under this Section is governed by that third party's privacy policy, not ours. We do not control what they do with it, and we are not responsible for their practices.

4. What We Never Do

5. Legal Disclosure

We would disclose information in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or other lawful demand, or where necessary to protect our legal rights. As a practical matter, the only information we hold that could be produced is the email address you gave us at download and any correspondence you sent us. We cannot produce your financial data, because we do not have it.

6. Retention

Download records (email address, timestamp, IP, Terms version) are retained as long as we operate the Software, and thereafter as long as needed to evidence your acceptance of the Terms. Support correspondence is retained for up to three years. Server logs are retained for up to twelve months. Optional error reports are retained for up to twelve months.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You may at any time:

We honor these requests regardless of whether the California Consumer Privacy Act or any similar law applies to us. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, so there is nothing to opt out of. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.

8. Security

The local database is encrypted at rest with a key stored in your operating system's secure credential store. Transmissions to third-party providers use TLS. Our access-token service issues short-lived, narrowly-scoped credentials.

No system is perfectly secure. We cannot and do not guarantee the security of any information, and — as set out in Sections 9 through 12 of the Terms — we accept no liability for unauthorized access to or loss of your data. Because your data lives on your computer, its security depends primarily on you: your device encryption, your account password, your operating system updates, and your physical control of the machine.

9. Children

The Software is not directed to and may not be used by anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, email legal@investorupdate.com and we will delete it.

10. Geographic Scope

The Software and Site are offered only to residents of the United States, and are not offered to residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland. Information we receive is processed and stored in the United States.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. The current version is always posted at https://investorupdate.com/privacy with its version number and effective date. Material changes will be reflected in an updated acceptance prompt within the Software. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of it.
